14 Coursework Ideas

So I thought I'd do a quickie word update on my coursework ideas and where all these sketches are going to! As always I was going to do a set of three lanterns but I've only now kind of thought about what to draw on which.

Mrs Tan suggested that I keep a few elements consistent in every lantern to tie them together. So here are some motifs I'm thinking of:

1. bird motifs! 
2. star motifs!
3. cut-outs (using penknives)
4. pastel colours (using ink or watercolour... may not work, may be too bright, but I can hope!)
5. dreamweavers
6. mixed media (real feathers, perhaps? cotton wool for clouds?)
7. song lyrics!! (maybe I'll do a list of some possible lines in the next post, hmm?)

Also, based on what I've been sketching I've come up with three main themes that I may not stick to:

1. who you wanted to be (ballerinas!),
2. what you wanted to be, (fairy tales!) and
3. where you wanted to be (castles!)
